Unit 1-4 - Evaluations

So, the time has passed by and here we are, in December, cold and tough times..
What a better way to finish this year than some feedback from our tutor and classmates, who were there to watch all of our rehearsal and performances. It is good to hear opinions from an outside perspective about your evolution and what to work on.

''Your work on the Greek Theatre project has been consistently strong. In the initial rehearsals you have been focused and committed to the work . You took on board the exercises in a focused manner and were sensitive to others in the group. You took on board notes in a constructive manner and your early blog entries are reflective of your needs in how to develop your work as an actor. You need to add some background information in relation to the contextual aspect of the Greek Theater period and discuss how this has helped you develop your approach to the role. Your performance was engaged and focused at all times, listening and reacting well , reflective again of the hard work you put in during the rehearsal classes, well done. For the next project, again look to continue to be "off book" early, as this really allows you to develop the role and play with the nuance of a character and moment. You will also nee to update your Blog perhaps slightly earlier than you do at present in order to assist with feedback on the written aspect of your work. '' - Rob Alexander
This is the review I found on my ProPortal and I like the fact that in this one I find also things that I need to correct or improve. I updated my blog and I am trying to be up to date with all my homeworks.
I am aware of the level my performances were at and I am working at breaking the barriers my own mind puts in my way. My “Antigone” part with Elena helped me find out my strengths (like being focused and engaged) and my weaknesses (my pronunciation, my voice projection, my lack of energy sometimes). The second performance, “Three sisters” made me realize that the improvements I set my mind to aren’t just going to happen overnight; I need to practice harder, trust myself and have patience.
Here are my classmates’ notes on my last performace.

And here are some notes from Rob about our last performance. Oh, and those 5 words out of 10 are the skills I think I improved.

I am willing to challenge myself with the next pieces or plays we are going to work on.
